First LOL!
Apparently that's what my dad tried to make you believe my name was however many months ago. Like you'd go for that, let alone my mom.
Anyway, welcome to my blog. I figured since today I'm a month old, it was long past time I had one for myself. Besides, when you go to my dad's page and it's not a post about me, you aren't really interested anyway, right? This way, it's all Avery all the time.I had my one-month doctor's checkup today, and it went well. Mom was a little concerned she was overfeeding me when she and Dad found out I weighed nine pounds, 14 ounces. (For those of you keeping score at home, that's more than two and a half pounds from when I was born, and almost three and a half pounds from my lowest weight.) But Dr. B (that's my pediatrician, don't'cha know) wasn't worried, because I'm solely breastfed and most of us boob babies level out over time. I also grew an inch (up to 22 now), so the weight gain is probably expected. I mean, I guess. I'm new here myself.
So far the first month has been pretty uneventful for us here in the house. I sleep a lot, I wake Mom up to eat, the puppies try to kiss me and we sing and play. Well, mostly Mom sings and we play. This morning she set me down on my tummy, because I guess we babies have to strengthen our necks and arms and stuff. I didn't want any part of it, though, so I just rolled myself over to my back. Mom got so excited about that she had to call Dad at work.Dad had to go back to his office pretty early on, but he gets some time with me pretty soon because Mom (shudder) has to go back to work in a week. We do get to play when he gets home, though, and he reads to me at night before I fall asleep. Right now he's telling me a story about a little girl who finds a magic truth-telling golden compass and ends up following it to the North Pole. It's supposed to be a movie too, but that's probably too loud and scary for me just yet.
This is pretty good for a first entry, I guess. Especially since most kids don't know how to type until they're at least three. Keep checking back, I'll keep you informed.
